Slab panel edge armouring
Most of the profiles are designed with two wider massive steel strips anchored into the concrete slab with welded shear studs. This solution has the disadvantage of occasional breaking and bending of the shear studs. Most of the profiles are designed with two wider massive steel strips anchored into the concrete slab with welded shear studs. This solution has the disadvantage of occasional breaking and bending of the shear studs.GammaJoint is a totally new design using laser cut high strength steel sheets and there is no need of welding. Bended steel sheet significantly increases inertia and it makes possible to reduce steel sheet thickness. Resistance against bending allows less fixing points to the concrete slab before concreting. Higher inertia makes possible to produce perfect straight profile strips. Another advantage of GammaJoint is that thinner steel edges will appear on the surface of the concrete slabs supporting the voluble traverse of fork lifts and other vechicles.

Dowel design
In GammaJoint system horizontal shearing dowels has a non-central setting when profiles are in closed position. In GammaJoint system horizontal shearing dowels has a non-central setting when profiles are in closed position. It makes possible when concrete shrinks and slabs open, the longer part of the dowel will be positioned to central state ensuring equal load distribution on both neighbour slabs. At maximum joint opening (30 mm) it secures 60-60 mm lap on both sides. In traditional designs dowel moves from central position in one direction and it leads to unequal load strength in neighbour concrete slabs.

Plastic sleeve design
Aim of plastic sleeve is to form transition between steel dowel and concrete and facilitate horizontal move of concrete in both directions. Its further task is to prevent neighbour concrete slabs to shift vertically. In traditional joint designs these sleeves allow horizontal shift only after slabs moved in vertical direction first, what cannot be calculated when we talk about a middle slab in a bigger area.
