Substrate and preparatory work.

All loosely adhered debris must be removed by vacuuming, blowing or sweeping prior to the application of Proflex. Any firmly adhered contamination should be removed by low pressure power washing.

Application

Adhensive: The adhesive is mixed in the ratios supplied by adding the entire contents of the hardener component to the base component and mixing with a slow speed drill fitted with a mixing paddle. Mixing should be for a minimum of 3 minutes, empty the contents in to a clean suitably sized mixing vessel and mix for a further 2 minutes.
Apply the adhesive with a notched trowel at a rate of 0.833 kg/m2.
Lay the Proflex rubber surface whilst the adhesive is wet ensuring the joints between rolls are closed with no gaps. When the adhesive becomes tacky roll the surface with a metal roller weighing no less the 50 kilos.

Porefiller: The porefiller is mixed in the ratios supplied by adding the entire contents of the hardener component to the base component and mixing with a slow speed drill fitted with a mixing paddle. Mixing should be for a minimum of 3 minutes, empty the contents in to a clean suitably sized mixing vessel and mix for a further 2 minutes.
Apply the pore filler with a flat blade trowel at a rate of .75kgs per metre square ensuring the entire surface is covered and the joints are filled. Allow to cure overnight.

Flexible Membrane: The flexible membrane is mixed in the ratios supplied by adding the entire contents of the hardener component to the base component and mixing with a slow speed drill fitted with a mixing paddle. Mixing should be for a minimum of 3 minutes, empty the contents in to a clean suitably sized mixing vessel and mix for a further 2 minutes.
Prior to application of the flexible membrane ensure any high spots are removed from the surface.
Apply the flexible membrane using a lambswool roller at a ratio of 0.5kgs per metre squared.

Wear Layers: Mix 20 litres of Proflex topcoat with between 10 and 20 litres of clean dried 110 mesh silica sand and mix with a slow speed drill fitted with a suitable mixing paddle, add sufficient clean water to achieve the required application viscosity. Apply two coats of this mix to the surface allowing the previous coat to dry overnight before application of the second.
Ensure the surface has no high spots or rough patches before applying the next coat.
The final wear layer should be mixed as before in the ratio of 20 litres of Proflex acrylic topcoat mixed with between 0 and 10 litres of clean dried 110 mesh silica sand and the required amount of water.
Proflex wear layers and the final topcoat should be applied using a flat blade rubber squeegee.
Sand quantities can be adjusted to effect the surface slip and pace.

Application conditions
Proflex should only be applied in fine, dry weather and when substrate temperature is higher than 5°C and likely to remain so for 6-7 hours after this. Substrate temperatures higher than 30°C should also be avoided.

Note: situations where frost may occur within 24 hours of painting must be avoided.
